Enjoy a luxury sailing trip and set sail for one of Spain’s oldest wine-growing regions, complete with a guided tour of the vineyards and a visit to the winery. The tour includes a visit to the winery and a tasting of our own wines.
We’ll welcome you aboard one of our boats and set sail for the Port of Masnou, taking in the scenery along the coast and offering you a different perspective on Barcelona.
After the boat trip, we’ll arrive at the Port of Masnou and a private transfer will take us to the family-run winery: Celler Quim Batle
Carrying on the family tradition, Quim Batle founded the winery in 1999, the culmination of years of vine cultivation. As both owner and creator of the Foranell and Coriolis wines, Joaquím Batlle, following in his father’s footsteps, has succeeded in capturing the traditional flavours of the native varieties of the Alella D.O.: Pansa Blanca, Garnacha Blanca and Picapoll.
At an altitude of 320 metres, with the Mediterranean Sea in the background, the sea breeze from El Foranell caresses the vines, imparting salty notes which, together with the minerality of the sandy terroir, give the wine an authentic and genuine flavour.
Alella wines have a long history and hold great significance in Catalan winemaking. Already well-known and highly regarded in Roman times, Pliny and Martial refer to them as ‘Laietan’ wines. In the Middle Ages, Alella wines were the favourites at the Bishop’s See in Barcelona, later becoming one of the quality wines exported from Catalonia to the whole world, with particular focus on the overseas colonies where there was a large Catalan population.
After a relaxing morning visiting the vineyards, a guided tour of the winery and a tasting of exclusive wines paired with traditional cured meats, it’s time to return to the city in a private minivan. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
