Pirates Cruise Experience: A Pirate Adventure in Port Masnou

Yes, you’re quite right! It’s not the Caribbean, but we do have pirates in the Mediterranean! A fun pirate-themed boat trip, where you can dress up if you like to fully immerse yourself in the experience.

At the hour set by the Captain, the skipper and privateer Francesc Castell received his licence in 1623 from His Excellency, the Bishop of Barcelona, Monsignor Joan Sentís, Bishop of Barcelona and Viceroy of Catalonia, to sail with his crew to the city of Algiers to rescue 32 captured Christians, recruitment will begin for his ship, the Somni Cors, which is ready to serve on a mission entrusted to it by King Philip IV.

The initial mission will be to monitor the slave ships anchored off the island of Maians, off the coast of Barcelona; this mission and its successful completion will bring great benefits to the enterprise and privileges to the Habsburg Crown.

To this end, you will be provided with period costumes, a privateer’s sword and 15 ounces of rum, and if the mission is completed in accordance with the rules of the Brotherhood of the Brothers of the Coast, the booty will be shared amongst the crew.
