If you want to live a unique experience and have never participated in a regatta, the Tramuntana Route Regatta is the best way to start in the exciting world of cruising sailing regattas.


DETAILS

A classic test of Catalan coastal sailing: Ruta de la Tramuntana which has become the most popular night regatta among sailors.

The route of about 54 miles, always with the bow heading north (from the first quadrant), the first 40 miles are to the NE, until the Tossa and Bagur headlands are entered and once these are passed, complete the journey, heading more North , with a last 19 miles from the 'dels Tres Caps' area, to leave the Medas islands, overcome the Torroella coast and enter the Escala bay.

The Tramuntana Ruote regatta has the component that a large part of it is sailed at night, as it departs at 'Baixa hour' on Friday (at 6pm) and the bulk of the fleet usually reaches the finish line at noon Saturday, the next day.

Experience Plan

  • Day 1
    • 10:00 Departure from Puerto Olímpico to reach Port Balís before 15:00 (possibility of arriving directly at 16:00 at Port Balís (for those who cannot)
    • 16:15 Skippers meeting.
    • 18:00 Start Regatta
  • Day 2
    • 18:30 Arrival time limit Route: CN Balís - CN L'Escala (54 nautical miles)
    • 21:00 Dinner at L'Escala
    • 00:00 Back to Barcelona
  • Day 3
    • Arrival at the Olympic Port of Barcelona in the middle of the day or in the early afternoon.
